Anyone employed within the Australian travel industry can peer nominate another individual or business for an NTIA award.
How do I nominate someone?
You can nominate an individual or business for an award, by submitting their contact details. The nomination forms are listed here.
Can I nominate more than one person or business?
You can submit 1 peer nomination for each award category. There are 36 awards in total.
Will the nominee need to accept their nomination?
Nominees will have the opportunity to accept or decline their nomination. Those who accept the nomination will be given further instructions on their submission / industry voting, depending on the category.
What happens if I’ve been nominated?
All eligible nominees will be contacted via email to accept or decline the peer nomination.
Some categories require nominees to complete a formal submission whilst others undergo industry voting. Further details and instructions will be provided to all eligible nominees.
Can I find out who nominated me?
Unfortunately, we can’t share that information. We don’t have permission from the nominator to disclose their name; you may also received multiple peer-nominations and it’s not feasible for us to collate this information for all nominees.
When do NTIA peer nominations close?
NTIA peer nominations close at 5pm AEST on Friday 22 May.
Depending on the category you’ve been nominated in, nominees will be asked to enter a submission or undergo industry voting.

Do I need to be ATIA Accredited to enter the awards?
Some categories require nominees to be ATIA Accredited themselves or employed by an ATIA Accredited Business. Please check the eligibility criteria for each category.
Is there an entry fee?
No, the NTIA Awards are free to enter.
What is required for a submission?
Nominees in Categories 01 - 09 are required to
submit a video submission; nominees in Categories 11 - 20, 33, 35 & 36 are required to enter a written submission.
Each category will have pre-set questions for you to answer.

All submissions must be entered via our submissions portal -

How do I access the submissions portal?
For those nominees who accept the peer nomination, a link
to the submissions portal will be emailed to you.
Can I submit for multiple categories?
You may only enter the categories in which you’ve been
nominated for.
When are submissions due?
Submissions will be due, and the submissions
portal will close, at 11.59pm AEST on 01 July.
Which categories will undergo industry voting?
Nominees in categories 21 - 32 & 35 will undergo industry voting.
What is required for industry voting?
Once you have accepted the peer nomination, there is no further action required from us as the organisers. Your organisation will be automatically included in the industry voting list. From there, it’s up to your organisation to garner industry votes.
When will industry voting take place?
Industry voting commences at 9am on 15 June and will conclude at 5.00pm on 17 July.
How do I become an NTIA finalist?
For the submission assessment categories, the top 5
scoring nominees will proceed as finalists.
For the industry voting categories, the top 5 voted nominees
will proceed as finalists.
Do finalists need to do anything after being
announced?
Nominees in selected Most Outstanding categories will be
required to attend a virtual judging interview. Check the methodology page for detailed
information.
Are finalists required to attend the gala dinner?
Finalists’ attendance is not mandatory; however we’d still
strongly encourage you to attend and take part in the celebrations.
I am an NTIA finalist; do I need to purchase my own
tickets?
Yes, finalists will need to purchase their own tickets.
Can a finalist still win if they don’t attend the gala
dinner?
Of course; don’t be silly. The awards program and winner
determination process operates independently of the gala dinner production. If
you’re a finalist who’s unable to attend, we ask that you nominate someone to
accept on your behalf should you win.
